~ Thank You Message ~

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou......

Dion's quilt arrived the other day (while Dion was in hospital...again), so we waited for him to get home to open it. What a magical gift was inside!!

His quilt is so wonderful.... I cannot say enough words of thanks for the love and time that has been put into his quilt.

Once again a big heartfelt thanks from Dion and his family.

BIOGRAPHY

Dion was born a healthy 7lb but stopped gaining weight at 8 months old. He underwent a lot of testing to try to find out why but nothing came up.

At 11 months he went into hospital for gastric feeding but just kept being sick. In September ‘07 we had our longest stay in hospital of 7 weeks. A gastromy button was put in for him to be fed through. On the 3rd of January ‘08 he had an MRI which showed the Leigh's disease in his brain.

Dion cannot yet walk or talk properly but gets around fine by crawling. Leigh's Disease is a terminal illness with no cure or treatment, with a life span of about 5 years. He has just turned 2.
